Child Care First Aid
A Red Cross ChildSafe course designed to help new parents, adult babysitters and child care workers keep children safe. Students learn first aid for common childhood emergencies, find out how to "child-proof" a home, and explore related child safety issues such as car seats and playground safety.

Babysitter Course
Geared toward youths aged 11-15 who plan to start babysitting. Teaches basic first aid and how to respond to emergency situations, explains basic baby and child care, and offers advice on becoming a responsible babysitter-developing confidence, creating a safe environment, even tips for finding babysitting jobs. Endorsed by Fire Prevention Canada.

CPR Infant/Child (Level D)
Focuses on emergencies involving infants and children only. This level is also included in the Red Cross ChildSafe Program. Students learn to quickly and confidently provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation. All participants receive a Red Cross Basic Life Support CPR/AED Skills Card and Certification Card upon completion. Re-certification: 3 years.

Kids Programs
PeopleSavers
A four-level program created for children ages 5-12. Age-appropriate information includes how to call for help, safety awareness and helping an injured person. Designed for school, youth and community groups. Also taught as the core component of Home Alone course. Approved by Curriculum Services Canada and offered in community centres and schools.

Home-On-Your-Own
A custom-designed course for children aged 11 and up who are being left on their own at home without a babysitter for the first time. Offered in community centres. Contains elements of Red Cross PeopleSavers program.

Training Service Policies
- MediStat's fees are based on the number of participants in a course; the company does not charge flat rates unless it is part of a special package.
- Additional students may be added to any class until the maximum number of students for such a class is reached. The addition of students, addition of classes, or rescheduling, modification or cancellation of any class requires the prior approval of MediStat.
- When paying by course participant, the minimum requirement for each type of course is as follows: SFA (6), EFA (4), CPR (4), AED (4), PeopleSavers (5) Babysitting (8). MediStat requires 72-hour notice if the minimum number cannot be met and the course may need to be cancelled and/or rescheduled.
- Customer agrees to pay 50% of the class minimum billing amount or $100.00 (whichever is higher) for any training class cancelled with less than 48-hour notice. Cancellation Fees will be billed separately.
